Getting Started on Working at Home

So, you’ve discovered that working at home isn’t quite the lap of luxury you thought it was.  You thought that you could sleep as much as you want and do as little as you want.  Then it turns out that you’re not making money like you thought you would.

Reality sets in.  Your website doesn’t have ranking.  You’re not getting traffic.  Even worse, you’re not making money.

What happened is that you got the wake-up call that online work is still work.  In fact, in the beginning stages of your business, you will probably have to work more than 8 hours a day.  You may have to pull 16-hour days to really get things going.

So, don’t abandon your alarm clock yet.  Now that you’ve been made keenly aware that working at home isn’t all fun and games, it’s time to buckle down.  How do you get back on the money track?

First, examine if your product has any real demand.  If it does, then that’s covered.  If not, it’s time to make a change.

Second, check the optimization on your web page.  If you don’t know what that is, learn it.

Third, what are you doing to promote your page?  More often than not, this is the most overlooked part of the campaign.  It’s not as easy as putting up a product on a web page.  You have to “press the flesh” in cyberspace as well as in the real world.

Web 2.0 is a great place to do this sort of advertising.  You don’t have to pay for the advertising or the links back to your page.  Of course, it’s going to take a lot of work, and a lot of time, but you know what they say:  Rome wasn’t built in a day.

One opportunity to work from home is SEM Business Blueprint.
