The more opt-ins you get the bigger your email list. A big responsive email list can set you up for life. Or at least for a long time to come.
Building a bigger email list is easy once you know the fundamentals. From what I can see, most website owners are almost clueless. Their websites do not encourage opt-ins.
Let me show you a basic way to get more prospects. I’ll give you an example you can swipe.
The first thing is this: People will join a list they believe will be valuable. We all get too much email. No one wants more. For this reason, people are picky as to which lists they join online. Information is the best “hook” to use to get people onto your list.
The easiest way to get an opt-in is to offer free information. Provide some sort of free article or e-book. Something like that on a topic the market is interested in.
In exchange for the free information, require them to opt in. Just build a simple lead capture page. Include copy that sells the free info.
Take the fear out of joining your list. Make it easy and simple. Just ask them to type in their email address. You can also ask for their first name. That’s all you need. If you ask for too much you won’t get many opt-ins.
Another thing: Along with the giveaway, offer a series of reports or audios. Tell them they’ll get one every week or every couple of weeks. This way you keep them on the list. You continue delivering good value. They’ll, in turn, give you their business.
